The Department of Statistics and Data Science offers the following degree programs:

  • Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Data Science
  • Master of Science in Statistics
  • Master of Science in Data Science

Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Data Science

To earn the bachelor’s degree, students must complete a minimum of 128 credits, comprising 84 credits of required courses, 16 credits of departmental electives within the Department of Statistics and Data Science, and 28 credits of electives from other departments.

Master of Science in Statistics

To earn the master’s degree in Statistics, students must complete at least 24 credits, including a minimum of 18 credits offered by the Department, and satisfy the following elective course requirements:

  • Statistical Methods: 9 credits
  • Statistical Computing: 6 credits
  • Statistical Applications: 9 credits

Master of Science in Data Science

To earn the master’s degree in Data Science, students must complete at least 24 credits, including a minimum of 18 credits offered by the Department, and satisfy the following elective course requirements:

  • Statistics Field: 3 credits
  • Information Field: 9 credits
  • Interdisciplinary Field: 12 credits
